SBY Promises to Win Prabowo-Sandi in 2019 Presidential Election: Let's Focus Only, Ignore the Attack of Other Groups

Democratic Party Chairperson Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono or SBY claimed to speak directly with the General Chairperson of the Gerindra Party as well as presidential candidate number 02 Prabowo Subianto regarding the vision and mission of the presidential candidates in the 2019 Presidential Election.
Despite supporting Prabowo in the 2019 Presidential Election, SBY said that the community he called had not yet seen the vision and mission program as well as two pairs of presidential and vice presidential candidates in 2019-2024.
"My view of what happened during the first three months of the campaign, is contrary to what the people are waiting for, which is what Indonesia wants to do in the next five years?" Said SBY after a meeting with Prabowo at his residence, Mega Kuningan, South Jakarta, Friday.
SBY said, things presented in the mass media were only gimmicks or attacked each other personally.
"I see in these three months there is not much room for the public to see the vision and mission and the program of our presidential candidate. Maybe there are those who are not covered in the media or are there but not yet in line with the expectations of the people, "SBY said.
Therefore, SBY proposed that Prabowo-Sandi begin to focus on delivering the mission and program vision to the public rather than attacking other camps.
"I suggest Prabowo-Sandi begin to focus on answering the problems faced by the community, especially the economic and welfare issues that have been carried out from the beginning of this coalition," SBY said.
SBY said that the Democrat Party strongly supports the victory of presidential candidate pair number 02 Prabowo Subianto-Sandiaga Uno in the 2019 Presidential Election.
SBY revealed, for about four months in the beginning of the campaign period his side implemented a double track strategy.
On the one hand, SBY wanted Prabowo-password to win. On the other hand, the Democratic Party also targets victory in the legislative elections held simultaneously with the presidential election.
This was conveyed by SBY responding to the assumption that the Democratic Party was not optimal in campaigning for the Prabowo-Sandiaga couple.
"We certainly want Pak Prabowo to win the presidential election, but both the Gerindra Party and the Democratic Party also have a greater success in parliament," said SBY, when giving a statement after meeting Prabowo at his private residence in the Mega Kuningan area, South Jakarta, Friday.
In the meeting which lasted about two hours, SBY and Prabowo agreed on a better synergy and coordination to win the 2019 Election.
SBY said that for the past four months he had focused on winning the Democratic Party in the Legislative Election.
However, the Democratic Party also did not abandon its obligations as a member of the Indonesian Fair and Prosperous Coalition.
SBY emphasized that his party had contributed in an effort to win the Prabowo-Sandiaga pair.
"We want to get a higher vote than the 2014 election and we want to succeed Pak Prabowo as President of Indonesia in the next five years. That is our duty and obligation both morally and politically," SBY said.
