PMI Launches the Sunda Strait Post-Disaster Victim Search Site
Warta Jurnal. The Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) launched the #Saya hashtag service looking for and site services to help find victims lost due to the tsunami in Banten and Lampung. Communities whose families have not been found after the tsunami can fill out the form found on the site familylinks.icrc.org.
PMI facilitates the community to search for victims by filling in complete information regarding their missing relatives.

On the familylinks.icrc.org website, people can search the list of missing people and people who have reported that they are safe. In addition, residents can also register people who have lost contact, and register their own names as survivors of the tsunami, so that others know.
The latest information from BNPB as of Monday morning at 09.00 WIB, the death toll from the Sunda Strait tsunami that hit Banten and Lampung increased to 281 people. In addition there were 1,016 people who were injured.
"The temporary data collected by BNPB Command Post until December 24, 2018 at 07.00 WIB, recorded 281 people died, 1,016 people were injured, 57 people were missing and 11,687 people were displaced," said Head of BNPB's Public Relations Information and Data Center Sutopo Purwo Nugroho in a statement he wrote on Monday.
In addition, Sutopo also said that there were 611 damaged housing units, 69 damaged villas and 420 boats damaged by the tsunami. This victim and damage was called Sutopo in 5 regencies, namely Pandeglang, Serang, South Lampung, Tanggamus and Pesawaran.
"So the areas in Banten and Lampung provinces are in the Sunda Strait. The coastal areas in Pandeglang Regency are the areas with the highest number of victims and damage compared to other regions," he explained.
